Migrain Datang Lagi?? Arghhh!!

 
Migrain?? Siapa yg pernah merasa mesti tahu betapa azabnya melalui saat-saat migrain ni.. Serba tak kena kan. Nak tidur memang tak dapat la. Sakit kepala yg teramat sampai sanggup ketuk kepala sendiri..Pelik kan? kepala dah sakit, tapi kenapa perlu ketuk kepala tu ye? Hehehe sebabnya, kesakitan apabila kepala diketuk tu akan meredakan sekejap sakit migrain yg dialami.. 
Haa bayangkan betapa sakitnya migrain ni.. Jgn pandang remeh bila tengok kawan-kawan atau sesiapa sahaja yg sedang migrain! 

Migrain dikaitkan dengan situasi di mana kesakitan hanya pada sebelah bahagian kepala sahaja, dan bahagian belakang mata juga terasa berdenyut2 seperti ditarik - tarik. Ia berlaku kerana darah tidak sampai ke otak akibat tersekat dan menyebabkan sakit kepala yang teramat sangat.

Getting migraine headaches is tough. Managing a migraine at work can be even trickier. Can you keep migraines at bay while you're on the job? What can you do if one strikes during working hours? How much do you have to tell your boss about it, and could it hurt your career? WebMD spoke with migraine and workplace experts about that. Here's their advice:
  • Depressed or cranky.
  • Very happy, very awake, or full of energy.
  • Restless or nervous.
  • Very sleepy.
  • Thirsty or hungry, or you may crave certain foods. Or you may not feel like eating.

Symptoms of an aura

About 1 out of 5 people has a warning sign of a migraine called an aura. It usually starts about 30 minutes before the headache starts. During an aura, you may:
  • See spots, wavy lines, or flashing lights.
  • Have numbness or a "pins-and-needles" feeling in your hands, arms, or face.

Symptoms when the headache starts

Symptoms can include:
  • Throbbing pain on one side of the head. But you can have pain on both sides.
  • Pain behind one of your eyes.
  • Moderate to very bad pain. The pain may be so bad that you can't do any of your usual activities.
  • Pain that gets worse with routine physical activity.
  • Nausea, vomiting, or both.
  • Pain that gets worse when you're around light, noise, and sometimes smells.
Less common symptoms include:
  • Problems speaking.
  • Tingling in your face, arms, and shoulders.
  • Short-term weakness on one side of your body.
If you have these less-common symptoms and have not had them before, call your doctor right away so that he or she can make sure you aren't having a transient ischemic attack (TIA), stroke, or other serious problem.
Without treatment, a migraine headache can last from 4 to 72 hours.

Symptoms after the headache

After the headache stops, you may have muscle aches or feel very tired. These symptoms may last up to a day after your migraine ends.

1. Kesan daripada alahan seseorang
2. Silau akibat lampu yang terang
3. Bunyi yang terlalu kuat
4. Bau wangi yang terlampau kuat
5. Tekanan fizikal atau emosi
6. Waktu tidur yang tidak teratur
7. Merokok atau terdedah kepada asap rokok
8. Stress
9. Menahan lapar
10. Makanan seperti coklat, keju, kopi, limau, tomato dan jeruk atau makanan yang diperap.

Jadi, jika anda seorang yg sering mengalami migrain, cuba elakkan dari punca-punca di atas ye.
